WHISTLEBLOWING

The term whistleblowing refers to a system through which individuals working within or outside an organisation can report to specific individuals or bodies within the organisation itself any possible fraud, crime, offence or irregular conduct committed by other individuals and of which they have become aware in the course of their employment.

Ghezzi has introduced a whistleblowing system, specifically implementing the provisions of Law No. 179 of 30 November 2017 and Legislative Decree No. 24/2023, which transposed European Directive 1937/2019 through the implementation of a system for making and managing reports relating to:

  • Illegal conduct, alleged or actual, relevant pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.
  • Alleged or actual violations of the 231 Models and Code of Ethics adopted by the Group’s companies and associations.
  • Breach of European legislation.

The rules of this institution consist of

  • Protection of the confidentiality of the person making the report.
  • Protection against retaliation or discriminatory conduct by the employer against the reporting person.

Please note that reports will be handled in accordance with the law and GDPR 679/2016.
